Privacy notice
How we collect, use and protect personal data.
Details
Last updated: 4 October 2026. This notice applies to this website and to enquiries made through it. It is written to meet the requirements of the GDPR and UK GDPR, and also covers rights under other national and state privacy laws.
Who we are
Sproble ("we") is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: privacy@sproble.com.
What we collect
- Details you send us: name, work email, company, topic and message.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps, recorded in server logs.
- Aggregate usage statistics from a privacy-focused analytics provider, configured without cookies or cross-site tracking.
We do not knowingly collect special-category data or data from children, and this site is not directed at anyone under 16.
Why we use it and our legal basis
- To respond to your enquiry and take steps you request before a contract: contract or legitimate interests.
- To keep this site secure and prevent abuse: legitimate interests.
- To understand how the site is used: legitimate interests, or consent where the law requires it.
- To meet legal obligations: legal obligation.
We make no automated decisions about you, and we do not sell personal data or share it for advertising.
Cookies
This site sets no non-essential cookies. If that changes, we will ask for your consent first where the law requires it.
Who receives it
Only service providers that host this site or handle our email and analytics, under written data-processing terms, and authorities where legally required. A current list is available on request.
International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses (including the UK addendum) or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
Retention
Enquiries are kept for 24 months, or for the life of any contract plus the legally required period. Server logs are kept for 30 days. We then delete or anonymise the data.
Your rights
Whatever country or state you are in, you can ask us what data we hold about you and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or give you a portable copy. You can object to our use of your data and withdraw any consent you have given at any time. We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. We do not send marketing emails unless you have asked for them; if we ever do, each message will include a way to opt out. To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@sproble.com and we will respond within the period set by applicable law. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to your local data protection authority.
Security and changes
We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk. We will post changes to this notice here and update the date above.
